Thomas Rosenthal forest green TC100 tea pot. This fine example of Bauhaus school brutalist design was created by Hans (Nick) Roericht in 1959 for his thesis project at the HfG Ulm school of design in Germany. It went immediately into the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York. The TC100 series was produced from 1962 until 2006 by Thomas Rosenthal. This stackable collection was designed for functionality and hard wear in places for hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, airplanes, etc.

This is the rarer forest green 1.2L version of the tea pot, with the gold "Thomas" signature on the base and the 2 small gold dots on the top of the tea pot and lid for proper alignment of the lid and tea pot. This piece was produced between 1962 and 1977.

Good vintage condition, some wear is present, namely on the spout, fine scratches on the top of the tea pot where it rubs against the lid and few on the body, a very tiny barely visible pin prick on the top of the tea pot body.
