Original Murano Sommerso faceted vases. Absolutely gorgeous jeweled look vases in impeccable condition. This style of vase was produced by several Murano manufacturers of the time such as Mandruzzato, Flavio Poli for Seguso, etc. so they are impossible to attribute to a particular one without a signature or sticker.
The Sommerso technique, meaning "submerged" in Italian, consists in dipping coloured glass into molten glass of a different colour, before blowing the glass into the required form, creating two or more layers of contrasting glass without the colours mixingof creating two or more layers of contrasting glass without the colours mixing together, resulting in this unique effect.
Excellent vintage condition, no faults or flaws other than a couple of small bubbles encased within the glass resulting from the manufacturing process.
